J. HARRIS
J. Harris’
paintings consist primarily of landscapes and wildlife of the
American Southwest. The color palette that he uses consists of
bright, vibrant hues. When J. Harris looks at Southwestern
landscapes, he sees the stark contrast of earth and sky...
mountain and valley... sand and sage. His desire is to open the
viewer's eyes to the true beauty of the Southwest, and he does
this by putting emphasis on the vivid colors that are present in
the southwestern landscape.

"To
me, art is a passion and a refuge. Landscapes speak loudly to me
and I set out to interpret and capture those feelings. With my art
I give the viewer a window into my perception of reality. I
attempt to capture on canvas the sensations and revelations I
experience when I am in the midst of nature." |
